First and foremost THANK YOU to everyone who took the time out of their busy schedules to be a part of our 1st Annual Growth Conference. We had some amazing speakers including Sam Yagan, CEO of Shoprunner, Dennis Crowley, Co-Founder of Foursquare, and Josh Hix, Co-Founder of Plated.
Some of the major takeaways were:
- Don't put all your eggs in one basket on the marketing side of things; find a strong funnel for sign ups / sales, double down on it until the well runs dry, and then move onto the next funnel
- Perseverance is key, Josh Hix from Plated said that they were rejected by tons of investors and were finally able to get one who believed in them and everything changed from there
- Get granular in your understanding of your product and work hard to achieve a unique product market fit that will differentiate you enough from your competitors
